Last Weekend a double handful of our Society Members met with Ted Signor and the Cane Gang to make syrup and spread good old Largo Fellowship to all those attending the Fall Heritage Village Jubilee. We received many complements for their good will.
This Saturday George and Kim Feaster came by the Historic Largo Feed Store and Museum to pick up the 22 Pines and Palmettos Books and personal cards that the Society donated as gifts to our Sister City from Japan. Good Job Historical Society.
This Saturday also about 10 Society Members gathered at the Feed Store under the guidance and direction of Marilyn Short to “stuff’ boxes of goodies for the troops in far away Afghanistan. Thanks to many very generous donations of cash and goodies from our members and American Legion members we filled the boxes to over flowing. Thanks everyone for helping on this fun and so much needed project.
Very Proud Dad, Ron Short (R) and son, Mike hold photos of some of the troops who will be receiving the Christmas boxes. Just a small amount of the many items that were stuffed into the troop boxes.
